About the IAPP

Mayuran has over a decade of proven experience as a seasoned Technology Risk Consultant. He is a Director with KPMG in the IT Advisory Practice in India, based out of Chennai, and has extensive experience in Cyber Security, Data Privacy, IT Attestation, IT Risk assessment and regulatory compliance services.

Mayuran focuses on Data Privacy solutions for KPMG in India and represents the India firm in the KPMG Global data privacy team. He is currently helping number of clients on GDPR compliance by working hand in hand with the Global team. He has established a Centre of Excellence working on GDPR within KPMG in India. He works very closely with the IAPP and was instrumental in setting up IAPP’s Chennai KnowledgeNet, which he co-chairs now.

Post his post-graduation in management most of his studies centred around achieving professional certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT),Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),Certified ISO27001 Lead Auditor, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),PG Diploma in Cyber Law from Asian School of Cyber Law and DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor.
