About the IAPP

Oliveira e Carmo initiated his career as a research assistant of the Max-Planck Institute during the “Snowden revelations.” Since then, he built privacy management programmes in global acting organisations in the engineering, energy and health industries. Oliveira e Carmo joined the world governing body of football, FIFA in early 2020, building their privacy team and currently heading FIFA´s Data Protection and Cybersecurity Risk Department. While leading privacy and security in the world of sports, they continue to support FIFA´s mission of “making football truly global.”
