Bill Abbott

Bill Abbott is the Director, Data Policy and Research in TELUS’ Data and Trust Office where he contributes to TELUS’ leading role in privacy and trust innovation. Bill is responsible for TELUS’ thought leadership for privacy policy in Canada. His prior experience includes working with the CRTC Law Department and as Assistant General Counsel and Privacy Ombudsman with a major Canadian communications company. Bill has an undergraduate degree from Queen’s, a LL.B. from Dalhousie and a LL.M. from the University of Ottawa. Bill lives in Ottawa with his family and very patient dog, all of whom are looking forward to some canoe tripping this summer.
