Pamela S. (Pam) Hrubey serves as the chief privacy officer for Eli Lilly and Company, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. Hrubey focuses on integrating privacy program requirements across the worldwide ethics and compliance organization in order to simplify roles and responsibilities, clarify governance and related decision making and increase the company's ability to efficiently and effectively provide tailored therapeutics that enhance the individual lives of patients around the world.

Hrubey is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP). She is a board member of the International Pharmaceutical Privacy Consortium and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals Education Advisory Board. Hrubey also serves as a fellow of the Ethics Resource Center.

Hrubey's career spans nearly 25 years at Lilly, with local, regional and global assignments in discovery and clinical research, data management, human resources and manufacturing as well as over six years in the ethics and compliance area. She served as the medical/regulatory privacy officer and was responsible for designing and implementing the company's first comprehensive human subject and patient-focused privacy program. Hrubey is trained as a scientist, with a graduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska.
