About the IAPP

Orson Lucas is a Principal with KPMG Cyber Services, leading KPMG's US Data Privacy and Protection practice. He has over 25 years of experience helping complex, global organizations to enhance the maturity of programs focused on complex and emerging issues around topics like data protection, privacy, and AI to most effectively manage and protect sensitive information assets. His experience spans all industry verticals, and includes numerous complex privacy and data program transformation initiatives, including large scale privacy technology implementation and change management, operating model redesign, data protection program design and implementation, and most recently a focus on data retention and defensible deletion. 

Orson has been a featured speaker at over two dozen conferences on various technical topics, and has been published in leading industry publications such as Forbes, Financial Times, Compliance Week, and Bloomberg BNA. He holds several certifications, including AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified in Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified in Risk and Information System Controls (CRISC).
