Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, Digital Sustainability

Laura leads an international team providing privacy and AI support at Eli Lilly and Company, with 46,000 employees worldwide and products marketed in over 100 countries. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing digital sustainability in business areas and affiliates world-wide, and for shaping a risk-aware culture. Through collaborative relationships, Laura and her team support business initiatives and advise on emerging digital requirements, compliance, and strategy. Before joining Eli Lilly, she practiced law in state and federal courts, specializing in appellate practice and civil litigation. Laura provided legislative guidance and supported academic reform and eligibility initiatives as a consultant for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Laura is Vice Chair and a board member of the International Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Privacy Consortium (IPMPC), an industry leading organization fostering the development of benchmarks, best practices, and public policy. In addition, she serves as the Vice President of Business Ethics Indiana, seeking to promote best practices in ethics and compliance to strengthen Indiana as a business ethics center of excellence.

Laura is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). She received her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is licensed to practice in federal and state courts.
