About the IAPP

Abhishek Agarwal is the Chief Privacy Officer at Baxter International, where he manages the global privacy compliance portfolio. His main focus is to advise business on compliance matters and main the culture of compliance.

Previously, Abhishek has gained experience working at fortune 100 companies such as Kraft Foods, JPMorgan Chase, HSBC, and E&Y Consulting. He has worked on large data privacy, information security, and risk initiatives such as; international data transfers, EU-U.S. privacy programs, safe harbor compliance, identity and access management, information risk assessments, information ownership and classification, information asset management, and vendor governance and management.



He is an active member of the IAPP, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), a Certified Information Risk and System Control (CRISC), and certified with the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Certification.



Agarwal received an electrical and electronic engineering degree in India, and an MBA from Pittsburg State University. Additionally, he received a Certificate in Strategy from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
