Bill Cook is an internationally recognized expert on Internet liability issues. His experience includeds 16 years as a federal prosecutor in Chicago, where he directed the nations first Federal Computer Crime Task force. He has testified as an expert on Internet law and liability before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, the Federal Communication Commission, the National Science Foundatin, the National Research Council, the National Security Agency and the Illinois State Legislators Caucus, and acted as an advisor to the White House National Security Council, the Chief of Naval Operations and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. His clients include ConocoPhillips, Motorola, OfficeMax, SprintNextel and Ameritrade. For the past four years his practice has concentrated on representing retailers on all aspects of the PCI Security Standards, including the CPP designation, PIN audits, Forensice audits, and ADCR designations.

Cook served with distinction as an Airborne-Ranger, infantry platoon leader in Vietnam - receiving 3 Bronze Stars, 2 Purple Hearts and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. These activities prepared him to complete the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon in 2005 and 2006.
