Joanna Levin is Assistant General Counsel & Chief Counsel, Privacy at Pfizer Inc. where she provides strategic leadership and subject matter expertise in privacy to drive continued improvement and implementation of Pfizer’s privacy program. Joanna has been at Pfizer since 2015 and counsels on a wide range of topics including international data transfers, digital advertising, data breach and the implementation of new privacy laws on a global scale. Prior to joining Pfizer, Joanna was Privacy Counsel at Avon Products, Inc. where she provided legal counsel to address business objectives while ensuring the proper use of personal information. Previously, Joanna provided legal support for American Express’s privacy program through her work in the General Counsel’s Office. Joanna began her career in privacy at the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) where her work focused on children’s privacy.

Joanna received her J.D. from New York Law School where she was as an editor of the Media Law and Policy Journal and she received her B.A. from the University of Maryland where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Joanna holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and she has served as a speaker on numerous panels.
