About the IAPP

Sandy Tsakiridi is a Senior Legal Counsel in HSBC’s Group Data Privacy Legal team. As part of her responsibilities, she provides advice on privacy and data protection-related matters, including privacy risk management, across all lines of business and internal functions of HSBC at global level. Prior to her current role, she worked as an external legal counsel specialised in both ICT and Competition Law in leading international law firms and one of the Big Four in London and Brussels.

Sandy is dual-qualified in the UK (Solicitor of England & Wales) and Greece (Supreme Court Lawyer/Dikigoros). She holds three postgraduate degrees in law from University College London, Université Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne and Brussels School of Competition as well as various certifications (CIPP/E, COBIT, PRINCE2). She is also the Chair of the One Trust Privacy Connect London Chapter and regularly contributes to publications and conferences on privacy and data protection topics.
