About the IAPP

Cherri-Ann Beckles is the Assistant Archivist at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. She holds a Master's Degree in Records and Archives Management (International) from the University College London and a Master's Degree from the UWI in Heritage Studies. She has experience with working with records and archives at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, the Barbados Government Archives Department and brief stints at the University Of London Institute Of Education Archives and the University College London Records Office between the period 1995 to 2004. In 2014 she earned a PhD in Archive and Information Studies with a focus on data protection and its relationship to records management at the Centre for Archive and Information Studies at the University of Dundee, Scotland.
