About the IAPP

Gonzalo Caro is an Associate Data Protection Officer at the Office of the DPO (ODPO) in Meta Platforms Ireland, having joined the company in 2018. Prior to joining Meta, Gonzalo worked at Microsoft Ireland for 17 years where he had a number of roles in the areas of Data Protection, Risk Management and Compliance. In recent years, Gonzalo has focused his work on Governance and Accountability frameworks, Operationalising Risk methodologies and Culture of Compliance.

Gonzalo holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management through Dublin Business School and also completed studies in Philosophy and Logic in his native Badajoz (Spain). Gonzalo holds CIPP/E, CIPM and CIPT certifications through through the IAPP.
