Jennifer Ruehr, is a Partner at Hintze Law PLLC, chair of the Employee Privacy practice, and co-chair for the Cybersecurity and Breach Response practice. Jennifer counsels clients from innovative startups to Fortune 100 companies, on global privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection matters. She provides clients with business-focused legal advice for developing, operationalizing, and maintaining a privacy program in a dynamic regulatory environment and developing strategies for managing and communicating about privacy and cybersecurity risk. She has also advised on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity risks in connection with M&A deals.
Jennifer also has particular expertise counseling on employment-specific privacy and data protection issues, including developing and implementing privacy and electronic monitoring policies and programs, retention and deletion programs, conducting employee privacy assessments, and operationalizing internal programs for data subject access requests. She advises on the risks and requirements related to employee biometric, health, and location data collection and use; background checks; AI and machine learning technologies, and automated decision-making in the employment context.
