About the IAPP

Catarina Silva is the Head of the Europe Data Protection Office, Senior Managing Counsel at Mastercard. She has been leading Data Protection Office operations, namely managing regulatory interactions, providing advice in high-risk activities and supporting with policies and training. She is also responsible for privacy compliance platforms that support handling privacy requests, consent management, data breaches, records of processing and data protection impact assessments.

Prior to joining Mastercard, Catarina worked as a Privacy Compliance Officer at J.P. Morgan and before that, she worked as a Privacy Consultant at Promontory Financial Group, in London. Catarina started her career in Intellectual Property and Corporate Law, and she is a Portuguese-qualified lawyer.
