About the IAPP

Adam Ingle is the Global Lead for Digital Policy (Government and Public Affairs) at the LEGO Group, where he helps LEGO maintain high standards of safety, privacy and security in their digital products and advocates for policy that empowers children online. Previously, Adam led the Information Commissioner's Office Emerging Technology Unit, where his team assessed the data protection impact of emerging technologies like the metaverse or blockchain and advised both industry and government on how to mitigate privacy risks.

Before moving to the UK, Adam was an Assistant Director within Australia’s domestic security department, the Department of Home Affairs. His responsibilities included reforming the investigative powers of Australia’s security and intelligence agencies to adapt to present and emerging communications technology and helping draft Australia's approach to content moderation and social media governance.
