Sophia Ignatidou

Sophia Ignatidou is the Group Manager for AI and Data Science at the ICO, leading the UK data protection authority’s team of AI policy and technology experts. The team serves as the centre of AI expertise within the ICO but also works on cross-regulatory cooperation domestically and internationally, develops guidance and ensures the organisation responds to developments in the field of AI in an agile and evidenced-based way.
Prior to joining the ICO, Sophia was a fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) in London, following years working in journalism in the UK and Greece.
