About the IAPP

Brian has over 20 years of experience managing large IT security programmes and biometric capabilities. Projects he has been involved with include the development of New Zealand biometric e-passports, development and implementation of international standards for facial recognition for e-passports, and the implementation of biometric solutions across both public and private sectors.

Currently Head of Biometrics and Security Solutions for the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), Brian leads BNZs biometric practice. At present he is taking BNZ’s biometric capabilities through focussed efforts to uplift protection for BNZ and its customers from increasingly sophisticated and persistent identity fraud activity and scams.
