State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information

After completing the second state examination in law, Prof. Dr. Keber worked as a lawyer from 2003 to 2009. At the same time, he took on teaching assignments in the field of media law at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, particularly in the years 2007 to 2009. In 2009 he returned to the University of Mainz as a research assistant and received his doctorate there in 2012 with a dissertation on a topic related to international law. Since 2012 Prof. Dr. Keber Holder of a professorship for media law and media policy at the Media University in Stuttgart and lecturer in the media law master’s program at the Mainz Media Institute for international media law and data protection law.



In July, Keber began his role as the Baden-Württemberg commissioner for data protection and freedom of information.
