About the IAPP

Harry leads efforts within Elsevier to implement the Elsevier Responsible AI & Data Science Principles. They work on embedding principles of fairness, accountability, transparency, explainability & mitigation of harms into data science ways of working by developing organisation-wide best practices and process for ethical use of data and technology. Harry also chairs the Elsevier AI Ethics Board. Harry’s background is in mathematics & statistics, completing a PhD in biostatistics at Imperial College before beginning a career in data science and subsequently focussing on Responsible AI.
