About the IAPP

Senior advisor at Hooghiemstra & Partners, Ingrid is an enthusiastic, driven lawyer and mediator with a passion for life sciences and healthcare, ethics and integrity. Ingrid has been working at Hooghiemstra & Partners since June 2022. Before that, she worked as a healthcare and life sciences lawyer, specializing in scientific integrity. In addition to her work for Hooghiemstra & Partners, she is a legal member of the medical-ethical review committee NedMec.

At Hooghiemstra & Partners, Ingrid focuses on issues related to the use of data for medical-scientific research and development in the life sciences and healthcare. She fulfills a long-term assignment as Head of Legal Affairs and Data Protection Officer at a healthcare organization in the field of general practitioner care. Ingrid also focuses on large-scale and complex (data) collaboration projects, e-health and the European Health Data Space. She can also be used as a legal mediator in complex forms of cooperation where there is no shared view of data protection and associated roles.

Ingrid regularly gives training courses in the field of data protection, contracting and governance in healthcare. She is a member of various professional associations, such as the Association for Health Law, the Association for Pharma and Law and the Association for Privacy Law.
