Terry Taouss

Terry Taouss is the president of the Acceptable Ads Committee, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to championing user rights while supporting the open web.
A seasoned entrepreneur with deep operational expertise, Terry has a proven track record of scaling fast-growing businesses. He was one of the earliest employees at SiteScout, an award-winning advertising technology company, and later led the organization following its acquisition by Basis Technologies. Since then, he has founded companies across various industries and has held executive leadership roles at publicly traded companies, including serving as President and Chairman of the Board.
A member of the Law Society of Ontario, Terry previously built a corporate law practice advising some of Canada’s fastest-growing companies. His work fueled a strong interest in digital rights, particularly in how privacy shapes our digital lives.
