Scott Warren is a partner in Squire Patton Boggs’ Tokyo and Shanghai offices and leads a team that specializes in cybersecurity, data privacy, digital data disclosures and AI implementation in Japan, China and Asia. Besides complex multi-nation cybersecurity matters, he advises on digital compliance, eDiscovery and corporate data privacy for global and local corporations. He also has significant experience in risk compliance, intellectual property, litigation, dispute resolution and government regulatory and internal investigations. He has provided advice to global multinational corporations in the hi-tech, software, retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical, automotive, banking, trading, telecommunications and professional services industries. He sits on the executive board of The Society for the Policing of Cyberspace (www.polcyb.org), which is a non-profit organization working to achieve a safer cyber-environment for all. Originally from the US, he has resided in Asia for over 32 years, working across the region in various capacities, including 13 years in-house as GC of Sega and Sr. Attorney with Microsoft, running computer investigation and eDiscovery for Kroll and Epiq and now with Squire Patton Boggs. Perhaps the one main focus of his career has been working where the Law and Technology collide.
