About the IAPP

Ilana is the group privacy lead for Afterpay, a global leading fintech company. She established and is responsible for delivering Afterpay’s Global Privacy Management Framework. She was previously a Privacy and Data Protection Manager at Deloitte, advising cross-industry entities of all sizes, and was a privacy lawyer at the now Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner. She started her career working at the international criminal courts based in the Netherlands. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne. 

Ilana is a certified, experienced, and passionate privacy professional that regularly writes, presents, and educates in the areas of privacy and data protection, human rights and values, and their intersection with evolving technology and the digital economy. She is an Advisory Board Member (ANZ) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
