About the IAPP

Sunny has nearly three decades of experience and is well networked in Greater China and internationally. He has a particular focus on data protection law where he has extensive experience advising multinational companies on achieving data protection compliance and managing risks associated with digital transformation and implementation of new platforms and systems. He is a member of the Data & Digital Economy Working Group at the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) in China. He also advises private equity and investors on complex cross border M&A, restructuring and joint ventures. His broader practice focuses on trust law with extensive experience in advising wealthy families and family offices on succession planning, asset protection and structuring investments. He is recommended by Legal 500 for his trust law work and is currently the Co-chair of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in China.
