Sarah Ghali co-leads the OAIC’s Regulation and Strategy branch, which provides advice and guidance to individuals, government and business. This includes examining legislation and other proposals that may have an impact on privacy as well as responsibility for the OAIC’s engagement with the current review of the Privacy Act.

 

In her thirteen years with the OAIC, Sarah has worked across the OAIC’s privacy, freedom of information and information management functions. Her experience extends across industries and subject matter, and a diverse range of projects including the implementation of the Australian Privacy Principles and the establishment of the Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code.
