About the IAPP

Dan Nieters, CIPP/EU, CIPT, is a Senior Privacy Architect with AWS Security Assurance Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon Web Services. His current role is leading customer executives, compliance teams, and cloud engineers in supporting privacy-compliant organizations and designing privacy-compliant workloads in AWS. In his past, Dan has held various roles ranging from CTO and full-stack developer for a small startup, to building enterprise-scale threat detection and monitoring capabilities for Fortune 500 companies, to improving the security posture for IT systems supporting military aircraft.
