About the IAPP

Sarah Miller, PLS, CIPP-US, CIPM, is a legal data strategist. Sarah is a Director and Assistant General Counsel at DTCC, the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the financial industry, supporting the Data Services and Trade Information Warehouse businesses. Prior to DTCC, Sarah worked at Fidelity Investments and its subsidiaries for over 10 years. Sarah was Assistant General Counsel at Fidelity owned SaaS and data aggregator, eMoney Advisor, where she created and directed the cross functional Privacy and Data Governance organization, negotiated all client and vendor data agreements, and led data use case reviews and privacy incident responses. As an industry leader in data aggregation strategy, Sarah presented “Collecting Financial Data: Data Aggregation Workflow, Transparency & Consent” at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit alongside industry CEOs and legal subject matter experts. At Fidelity Institutional Technology, Sarah ran the organization responsible for acquiring legal rights for new technology products and evaluating clients and vendors’ receiving financial data. Sarah lives in Boston, MA where she also chairs the Board for the Sharon Cooperative and Nature Schools.
