Privacy Regulatory Compliance Team Lead

Pollyanna Sanderson is a Regulatory Project Manager at IBM, focused on global privacy, data security, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining IBM, Pollyanna was a Policy Counsel, resident at Future of Privacy Forum. There, her portfolio comprised of U.S. privacy legislation at the federal and state level. During her tenure, she briefed policymakers and legislators, such as the Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science (JCOTS). She also hosted regular meeting with 500+ corporate supporters on a legislative matters such as enforcement, preemption, and algorithmic bias. Pollyanna first entered the field as a Google Public Policy Fellow resident at the National Consumers League, where she worked on developing privacy legislation from a consumer perspective. She graduated from William & Mary Law School with a Master of Laws (LL.M), winning five prestigious academic awards. Originally from the United Kingdom, Pollyanna arrived in the U.S. as the Drapers’ Company Scholar of 2018. She obtained her Bachelor in Laws (LL.B) at Queen Mary, University of London with First Class Honors.
