About the IAPP

Var Shankar is Chief AI and Privacy Officer at Enzai, which provides an AI GRC software platform to help organizations manage their AI policies, governance and controls.

Previously, Var was Executive Director of the Responsible AI Institute, where he helped organizations in multiple industries develop their responsible AI programs. He is a Co-Instructor, along with Alexis Cook, of Kaggle’s AI Ethics course. 

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Var previously practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. He lives in New York.
