About the IAPP

Dakota Hitchcock is a Consulting Manager of Privacy and Security at Postlethwaite & Netterville in Baton Rouge, LA, where he serves a diverse client base across the telecommunications, healthcare, outdoor lifestyle, and professional services industries. Dakota began his career in privacy as an Internal Auditor for a large financial institution conducting audits over various privacy regulations, including FCRA, GLBA, Dodd-Frank Act, and BSA/AML. Today, he serves a trusted advisor to Privacy Officers and DPOs from global organizations and assists clients in developing and implementing privacy programs and strategies around the GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and emerging laws. 

Dakota is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and holds a Masters’ of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University.
