About the IAPP

Anita is currently the Privacy Officer at Suncorp Bank (ANZ Group). With a career spanning 35 years working in Australia’s global banks, Anita has specialised in developing and implementing Privacy and Data Protection operating models and frameworks. Her greatest passion is to empower the capabilities of others to navigate complex privacy challenges and foster a culture of data protection within organisations.

Anita’s dedication to volunteering extends beyond her professional roles, she is currently volunteers as  the President of Women In Cyber Security Australia Affiliate, where she plays a key role in helping advance women in the field of cybersecurity. Additionally, she serves as an Advisor to the Institute of Operational Privacy Design (IOPD), helping to shape the future of privacy and data protection practices. Anita’s commitment to these positions reflects her passion for fostering inclusive communities and driving positive change in the cybersecurity and privacy sectors.

Anita is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor, broadening her legal expertise in various areas of law, including privacy, while strengthening her ability to navigate complex legal frameworks.
