About the IAPP

Anitha Vangaveti has an overall industry experience of 20+ years spanning across Privacy domain , IT development, Process, Compliance and Audit that has aided in rolling out huge Privacy programs.

She is currently AVP in Data Management and Privacy group in a Global Bank. She headed large Data Privacy programs for multi country roll out in top MNC Banks and IT industry. She has a vast experience in leading implementation and roll out through Privacy technologies and tools for Customer facing Privacy processes for large organizations. She drove strategy, implementation of GDPR and CCPA for compliance in US and India geographies in both the roles of Data Controller and Data Processor. She was instrumental in building Data Privacy Management System including Privacy Notices, Policies, procedures, Personal Data Discovery elements, DPIAs, Data Processing Agreements, Privacy by Design, DSRs framework design etc.

She is proud to be conferred with Fellowship in Information Privacy by IAPP which is a milestone, after her struggle to set her foot back in the industry, in what she calls as her “second innings” due to personal career break. The contentment that she derived when she could influence couple of women in turning their careers into Privacy domain has provided further motivation to think on a larger scale.

Through this platform of IAPP with great outreach and with her deep experience in Privacy industry, she is thrilled to contribute as an advisory board member to introduce or lift Privacy experience for women seeking careers in this space.
