About the IAPP

As Chief Digital Officer at the Health Standards Organization (HSO) and its affiliate Accreditation Canada, Amy leads Software Engineering, Enterprise Business Platforms, IT services, Infrastructure, Marketing and Communications. Her team supports a transformation portfolio that includes digital transformation of the stakeholder experience from employees, partners and surveyors, to health service providers and patients around the world.



Prior to joining HSO, Amy traveled the world working closely with CEOs, business leaders and their customers to map exciting business opportunities to powerful digital strategies and solutions. Amy has led teams of highly skilled experts in areas such as user experience, software development, business strategy, content strategy, technology architecture and big data. Amy’s clients have included Fortune 500 companies, and have ranged from healthcare, energy, engineering, manufacturing to law firms, helping them to shape more powerful and delightful experiences.



Amy sits on the board of Kemptville District Hospital, and is the co-host of The Weekly Stand-up, a show on Blockchain.Radio that examines the latest blockchain developments from a business perspective that is heard in over 90 countries. Amy is also a regular speaker at events around the world, including Canada, US, Japan, UK, Chile and Australia. Amy has a background in venture capital and entrepreneurship, a degree in electrical engineering and UX certification from the Nielsen Norman Group. She has over 12 years combined experience of sitting as a director on non-profit boards, and in 2015, she won a Forty Under 40 Award in her hometown of Ottawa, Canada.
