About the IAPP

Miglena is managing associate in Deloitte Legal Law Firm with more than 15 years of experience. Her main areas of expertise are corporate and commercial law, labor law and regulations in various fields. Miglena has specialized in the field of personal data protection, assisting data controllers from different industries in analyzing types of personal data and security measures, creating compliance policies, transferring data to third parties and proceedings before the Bulgarian DPA. As a head of Deloitte's personal data protection team, Miglena is actively involved in GDPR compliance projects for various clients. She is also one of the keynote presenters of personal data protection events, organized by Deloitte individually or in collaboration with other organizations. Miglena has also published a number of privacy articles for Bulgarian and foreign media.
