About the IAPP

Juan Luis has a broad background as a lawyer in corporate and data protection topics, leading the Data Protection department in Audi México. Among some of the qualifications, Juan Luis is certified by the IAPP as a CIPP-E, as well as by the NYCE in Mexico as a Sr. Privacy Professional. He advices internal clients of the company in topics related to corporate, contractual and data protection topics, and also for the creation, enforcement and surveillance of internal policies, including the data protection policy for the company. He also advices the company on international matters related to data protection, mainly in the compliance of obligations for international transfers and conducting risk evaluations and international contracts for the different processing activities carried out abroad and also has advised international companies as Audi do Brazil, located in the city of San Paulo, for the implementation of the LGPD and GDPR obligations. Juan Luis is part of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers (ANADE), the Latin American Corporate Counsels Association (LACCA) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
