About the IAPP

Tracy Pulito is the Global Chief Privacy Counsel at Interpublic Group. As IPG’s head global privacy counsel her responsibilities include overseeing privacy and data protection compliance for IPG and its advertising and marketing agencies. Tracy drafted her first privacy policy in the Fall of 2000 as an associate at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner and she began to focus exclusively on privacy and data protection law in 2004.

Currently, Tracy advises IPG and its agencies on global data privacy compliance. She leads and supervises its privacy program and related policies; works closely with agencies on drafting and negotiating data protection language for client and vendor contracts; continual monitors global regulations and emerging risks; and educates employees on data privacy issues.

Previously, Tracy worked in the Privacy Compliance Office at JPMorgan Chase, and served as Vice President and Deputy Chief Privacy Officer at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. 

Tracy Pulito also previously served as a privacy advisor to the Department of Homeland Security on its Data Privacy & Integrity Advisory Committee.
