Anu Bradford is Henry L. Moses Professor of Law and International Organizations at Columbia Law School, a Director for Columbia’s European Legal Studies Center, and a Senior Scholar at Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business at Columbia Business School. Bradford is also a nonresident scholar in the Europe Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her research focuses on European Union law, digital regulation, international trade law, and comparative and international antitrust law.

Bradford earned her S.J.D. (2007) and LL.M. (2002) degrees from Harvard Law School and also holds a law degree from the University of Helsinki. After completing her LL.M. studies as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School, Bradford practiced antitrust law and European Union law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels before returning to Harvard for her doctoral studies. She has also served as an adviser on economic policy in the Parliament of Finland and as an expert assistant to a member of the European Parliament. Bradford is the author of “The Brussels Effect: How the European Union Rules the World” (OUP 2020), which was named one of the Best Books of 2020 by Foreign Affairs. Her most recent book “Digital Empires: The Global Battle to Regulate Technology” was published by Oxford University Press in September 2023, and was recognized as one of the Best Books of 2023 by Financial Times.

Dr. Rumman Chowdhury is a data scientist and social scientist. She is the CEO of the tech nonprofit Humane Intelligence, which builds a community of practice around evaluations of AI models, as well as the United States Science Envoy for Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Chowdhury is also Responsible AI Fellow at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. Previously, Dr. Chowdhury was the Director of the ML Ethics, Transparency, and Accountability (META) team at Twitter, as well as the Global Lead for Responsible AI at Accenture Applied Intelligence. She was named one of Time's 100 most Influential People in AI, BBC’s 100 Women, Worthy Magazine's Top 100, recognized as one of the Bay Area’s top 40 under 40 and named by Forbes as one of Five Who are Shaping AI. Chowdhury holds two undergraduate degrees from MIT, a master's degree in Quantitative Methods of the Social Sciences from Columbia University, and a doctorate in political science from the University of California, San Diego.

Viktor Mayer-Schönberger is the professor of internet governance and regulation at Oxford. His dozen books include the awards-winning “Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age,” the international bestseller “Big Data” (co-authored with Kenneth Cukier), and the Financial Time Summer book choice “Framers” (with Kenn Cukier and Francis de Vericourt). His most recent book is "Guardrails" (cowritten with Urs Gasser), which Science called a “must-read.”

Mayer-Schönberger is a frequent public speaker, and sought-after expert for print and broadcast media worldwide. He is also on the boards of foundations, think tanks and institutions focused on studying the information economy, and advises governments, businesses and NGOs on new economy and information society issues.

Marietje Schaake is international policy director at Stanford University Cyber Policy Center and international policy fellow at Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. Between 2009 and 2019, she served as a member of the European Parliament from the Netherlands for the Dutch liberal democratic party and has been a top figure shaping Europe’s policies on technology, trade, and foreign affairs. She writes a monthly column for the “Financial Times” on technology and governance and serves on the UN’s AI Advisory Body.
