Simone Procas is Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at The New York Times Company, where she leads intellectual property matters including IP enforcement, IP policy, and IP-related pre-publication review of newsroom stories. Prior to joining The Times seven years ago, Simone was an Associate General Counsel at Time Inc., where she acted as lead counsel for the Sports Illustrated Group. Simone received a B.A. in Literature and Society from Brown University, an M.A. in Comparative Literature from Columbia School of Arts and Sciences, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
