Senior Privacy Counsel, Asia-Pacific Privacy Lead

Claire is a seasoned data privacy lawyer with close to a decade of experience advising global organisations on complex privacy and data protection matters. 



Claire is currently the Senior Privacy Counsel, Asia-Pacific Privacy Lead and the Singapore DPO at Lenovo, where she drives strategic end-to-end data privacy initiatives and compliance at one of the world's leading technology companies. Supporting the Asia-Pacific region, Claire works closely with different business functions across Lenovo to embed privacy by design, manage regulatory risk, and enable compliant innovation across the diverse markets in the region. 



Previously, Claire held Group and Regional Privacy Counsel roles at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC Bank), Allianz SE and foodpanda. With experience spanning across the financial, insurance and technology sectors, Claire brings a practical and cross-functional perspective to data privacy compliance and risk management while navigating the complex regulatory environment in Asia-Pacific. 



Claire regularly speaks at IAPP events and data privacy conferences, and is passionate about making data privacy more accessible and engaging for everyone. Claire runs a privacy interest group on LinkedIn named The Privacy Posse, which serves to facilitate knowledge sharing and allow aspiring data privacy professionals to connect with experienced DPOs and professionals through mentorships and discussions. 



Claire is admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, and an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
