About the IAPP

Ozlem Celik-Tinmaz is a seasoned AI expert with a focus on Responsible AI. Formerly a Data & AI Managing Director at Accenture, she led the Responsible AI Data Science team. Ozlem has extensive experience in AI governance, risk management, and technical frameworks. She has helped numerous clients establish comprehensive Responsible AI programs.

Before her tenure at Accenture, Ozlem spent over a decade in AI and data science, leading the North America Data Science Innovation CoE and managing a team of 20+ data scientists. Her work spans AI, machine learning, and deep learning applications in computer vision, image analytics, and text analytics.

Ozlem holds a patent in computer vision and has a background in astrophysics, having worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center with over 30 scientific publications.
