About the IAPP

As legal counsel to Anthropic's Public Policy team, Rebecca Jacobs helps the company navigate the evolving AI regulatory landscape while advancing its mission: ensuring that advanced AI benefits humanity. Working closely with Anthropic’s policy and technical teams, Rebecca also helps policymakers bridge the gap between legislative aspirations and the technical art of the possible.

Rebecca serves as an adviser to the American Law Institute’s Principles of Law Project on Civil Liability for Artificial Intelligence.

Before joining Anthropic, Rebecca was a product counsel at Amazon. Earlier in her career, she was a commercial litigator at Covington & Burling.
