About the IAPP

Ceyhun is an attorney-at-law admitted to the Bar in Spain, he co-leads Linklaters’ Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practice in Madrid.

Ceyhun has been recognised as one of the “Top 10 Cybersecurity Lawyers in Spain” and as a “Rising Star” by Iberian Lawyer. He has also been recently listed in the Best Lawyers in Spain.

Ceyhun counsels a range of high-profile clients on innovative uses of data and tech (including in relation to artificial intelligence, fintech, IoT and adtech), as well as on cyber incident response. He also advises on investigations by data protection authorities and other regulators, as well as on clients’ own internal investigations.

Amongst other things, Ceyhun is an Adjunct Professor of Law at IE Law School, recognised as one of the top law schools in Europe, where he teaches privacy, data protection, and cyber-security in both postgraduate and undergraduate degrees. He also teaches at the master’s degree level in Corporate and Financial Management at ISDE Law & Business School in Spain.

Ceyhun is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Global Privacy Law Review (Wolters Kluwer), an academic and professional law journal specialising in global privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity matters.

Ceyhun is a member of the IAPP, member of the European Advisory Board, and former chair of the KnowledgeNet in Spain.
