About the IAPP

Dr. Ali Abbas is the Chief Technology Officer at KI Design, where his primarily role involves leading the corporate security practice. Dr. Ali has a Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa. He also holds an MSc. in Systems Science and Management from the University of Ottawa and a B.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Ali has 18 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, System and Application Design, Information Security, and Technical Management, having successfully implemented projects in the Telecommunications, Financial, Healthcare, and Energy industry sectors. He has a proven track record of completing Service-Oriented Architecture projects including service decomposition, orchestration, governance, monitoring, identity propagation, and versioning.
