About the IAPP

Yoshiyuki is the Privacy Officer of Sony Group Corporation and its electronics businesses in Japan with background in information security, privacy, and data protection. Since 2000s he has led a number of internal projects to ensure compliance with the new applicable privacy regulations incl. Japan APPI, GPDR, CCPA, and PIPL. He specializes in making privacy requirements into business operations and establishing governance and risk management processes, by socializing with relevant stakeholders in/out the company and adopting a practical, risk-based approach.

Yoshiyuki also has experiences of speaking at international privacy conferences and at seminars in Japan.
