Ian Walden is Professor of Information and Communications Law in the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London. His publications include Telecommunications Law and Regulation (4th ed., 2012) and Computer Crimes and Digital Investigations (2nd ed., 2016). Ian has been involved in law reform projects for the World Bank, Council of Europe, UNCTAD, as well as numerous individual states. Ian was a Board Member of the Internet Watch Foundation (2004-09); the Press Complaints Commission (2009-14), and a member of the RUSI Independent Surveillance Review (2014-15). In September 2017, Ian was appointed a member of the European Commission’s Multistakeholder expert group to support the application of the GDPR. Ian is Of Counsel to Baker McKenzie.
