About the IAPP

I am a Principle Program Manager in the Office 365 team, focused on continuous improvement of the service to ensure the security and privacy of customer data. I am a founding architect of the original Office 365 enterprise service in 2004 and for the past two years I have been working across all Microsoft cloud service teams to drive transparency and control features across Microsoft cloud services. I regularly meet with customers' privacy, security and compliance teams to discuss customers’ concerns and I bring that input into the roadmap planning for Office 365. I am currently working with academic and defense organizations to create new standards for data handling that account for cloud services. My entire 17 years at Microsoft have been in areas where privacy is a core concern. Prior to Microsoft I worked in health care, insurance, financial services, and the U.S. military and so have a very broad perspective on privacy concerns.
