About the IAPP

Gedas is the E.U. and U.S. licensed attorney. He is the Privacy Director, Senior Counsel at Tapestry, Inc. (Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman).

Gedas manages global privacy compliance across a broad range of matters. His areas of focus range from building and leading the GDPR and the CCPA compliance programs, developing comprehensive privacy policies and notices, advising data analytics, marketing, CRM, IT, HR and other in-house teams, to the execution of data subject requests and unifying contractual practices. Currently, Gedas leads a team that evaluates ever changing COVID-19 risk prevention rules across North America for the safe return to work of corporate and store employees. As a former intellectual property, media and privacy associate at the leading law firms and a consultant, he draws on more than fifteen years of experience in regulatory compliance fields. Besides being a privacy nerd, Gedas is a passionate road cyclist. 

Gedas earned his J.D. from Vilnius University, Lithuania; LL.M. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Max Planck Institute-Munich, Germany. He holds the CIPP/US/E/A, CIPM and FIP certifications.
