About the IAPP

Linda Rush is Director, Global Privacy Counsel for Tech Data Corporation, the world’s leading end-to-end technology distributor. In this role she is responsible for the development and management of the global privacy program covering operations in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Her focus is on managing the diverse legal requirements for a business processing personal data as part of multi-national operations. Prior to joining Tech Data, she was Privacy Officer for Avis Budget Group, Inc. She has been leading data protection and privacy functions since 2010 and has practiced law for over 25 years.   She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars and is an authorized house counsel for the Florida Bar. She maintains her certifications for CIPP/US, CIPP/C and CIPM. She is also a designated Fellow of Information Privacy. She is a former co-chair of the IAPP NJ KnowlegeNet. She has been actively speaking about privacy and data protection matters for the ACC, IAPP, NJ Bar, NJ & FL ARMA and other similar organizations.
