About the IAPP

Born in Bolzano, South Tirol, Italy, Fabrizio has earned a Master of Law in European and International Law, writing a dissertation on the right to privacy in EU, USA and social networking.

He has been studying and working in Italy, Germany and Ireland, serving as a DPO for European, American and Indian multinationals companies.

Among others he worked for HCL and Workday where he is currently Senior Director and Global DPO.

Fabrizio has spent the last 12+ years researching, analysing and applying privacy policies, giving data protection advice, analysing compliance to applicable legislation, information security and privacy issues in corporate environments, law firms and national consumer’s associations, while managing international teams and projects. This allowed him to build an extensive know-how in privacy and data protection and, in particular, on DPIAs, GDPR Codes of Conduct, Privacy Risk Assessments & DPO Oversight best practices.

Among others he is CIPP/E certified, ITILv3 certified, Corporate representative of the American Chamber of Commerce Data Committee, Member of Steering Committee for the European Cloud Code of Conduct & 3rd Country Data Transfer Module, Industry Panellist for the Privacy Shield Renewal (Brussels 2018 and Washington D.C. 2019), One Trust Privacy Connect Chair and Member of the Irish DPO Network Committee. Fabrizio is a regular speaker at conferences.
