About the IAPP

Danie Strachan is a Senior Privacy Counsel at VeraSafe, bringing 20 years of legal experience, including more than a decade in privacy and data protection matters. He has advised a diverse range of organizations, from tech start-ups to multinational corporations. Previously, he served as a partner at Adams & Adams, one of Africa’s leading law firms. Danie is a South African admitted attorney (non-practicing). He holds a research doctorate in law from the University of Pretoria, and has earned CIPP/E, CIPP/US, AIGP, and CIPM certifications from the IAPP.
